Hills of Tyrone Lyrics By We Are Messengers
There’s a light that’s guiding me
When the stars come out
Over Ireland’s green
This is where I live in peace
Where I feel I’m known
Yeah it’s all I need
We might all be dust and bones
It’s temporary aye I know
But everybody needs a home
And mine is in the hills of Tyrone
Thank God I’ve got a place to go
Across the mountain
Country roads
Yeah everybody needs a home
And mine is in the hills of Tyrone
I can hear you on the breeze
In the northern wind
Blowing through the trees
Deep as valleys
Mountain high
There’s a beauty here
That I can’t describe
We might all be dust and bones
It’s temporary aye I know
But everybody needs a home
And mine is in the hills of Tyrone
Thank God I’ve got a place to go
Across the mountain
Country roads
Yeah everybody needs a home
And mine is in the hills of Tyrone
At the closing of the light
There’s a masterpiece
Painted on the sky
I know when I’m lost at sea
I can lift my eyes
Your light will rescue me
We might all be dust and bones
It’s temporary aye I know
But everybody needs a home
And mine is in the hills of Tyrone
Thank God I’ve got a place to go
Across the mountain
Country roads
Yeah everybody needs a home
And mine is in the hills of Tyrone
